About Ann-Marie

I'm a nonprofit consultant, mentor, and longtime sector leader who believes that how we lead matters just as much as what we accomplish.

For more than two decades, I’ve worked alongside executive directors, board chairs, and fundraising teams in educational foundations and community-based nonprofits. I’ve raised more than $30 million over the course of my career, but what I care most about is helping leaders feel steadier, more calm, and  supported in roles that are often isolating and demanding.

Through The Golden Hour Collective, I focus on fundraising strategy, board development, and leadership mentoring — particularly for women navigating complex dynamics, high expectations, and competing voices. I’m especially drawn to thoughtful leaders who want to lead with integrity and confidence without performing, posturing, or burning themselves out.

My work is grounded in the belief that strong organizations are built on strong relationships. I often describe the Executive Director–Board Chair partnership as a kind of professional marriage — one that requires trust, communication, and a shared understanding of roles and power. I bring a practical, relational approach to this work, shaped by years of experience, honest conversations, and a healthy respect for humor when things get complicated.
